    Nikki Tse

    Nikki has several years of experience in working in the area of orofacial pain and head, neck and shoulder disorders. She founded About Faces Physiotherapy in 2004, after seeing a need for comprehensive assessment and treatment in this specialised area. Nikki is the only New Zealand Physiotherapist who is a member of the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Orofacial Pain (ANZAOP).  She is an Executive Committee member of the Physiotherapy Acupuncture Association of New Zealand (PAANZ) and teaches needling around the head and neck on the AUT Postgraduate Western Acupuncture programme, as well as teaching weekend Dry Needling courses with her husband Trevor Montgomery. She is also available to present at clinic inservices and conferences.

    When not treating patients, Nikki is involved in running software start-up, Innovative Health Solutions Ltd. IHS Ltd is developing TrevvAI, a software solution to help with posture and eye health via a webcam while at work. She is also Mum and taxi driver for two busy kids.

    Frankie Gibson

    BHSc (Physiotherapy), Foundation & Advanced Certificates in Dry Needling


    Frankie graduated from AUT with a Bachelor of Health Science (Physiotherapy). Whilst studying she gained experience in private practice, acute stroke and community cardiovascular and pulmonary rehabilitation. After graduating she worked in a physiotherapy clinic providing treatment and rehabilitation for sports and workplace injuries, before moving to About Faces to focus on treating jaw, face, neck and shoulder conditions. Frankie has trained in treating patients with concussion as well as Dry Needling, which she enjoys using because it allows her to target specific problem areas, and combined with the right advice and exercises provides an effective  comprehensive treatment package. Frankie also assists Nikki and Trevor Montgomery, supervising students on weekend Dry Needling courses.


    In her spare time Frankie enjoys training and competing in the sport of Olympic Weightlifting (where she competes at a National level), eating, hiking, reading novels and annoying her cat.
