Nikki has several years of experience in working in the area of orofacial pain and head, neck and shoulder disorders. She founded About Faces Physiotherapy in 2004, after seeing a need for comprehensive assessment and treatment in this specialised area. Nikki is the only New Zealand Physiotherapist who is a member of the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Orofacial Pain (ANZAOP).  She is an Executive Committee member of the Physiotherapy Acupuncture Association of New Zealand (PAANZ) and teaches needling around the head and neck on the AUT Postgraduate Western Acupuncture programme, as well as teaching weekend Dry Needling courses. She is also available to present at clinic inservices and conferences.

When not treating patients, Nikki is Mum and taxi driver for two busy kids. In her downtime she enjoys reading a good book, baking and cake decorating and on the odd occasion lets her hair down at Beats by Bingo.

Sasa graduated from AUT with a Bachelor of Health Science (Physiotherapy) in 2006. After graduation she started her career working as a Physiotherapist/Pilates instructor before joining a spinal rehabilitation clinic where she worked there for nearly 10 years. She has specialised in treating spinal and musculoskeletal related problems especially neck and back pain. She was working closely with the orthopaedic surgeons in a multidisciplinary team setting. Sasa later graduated with her Postgraduate Certificate in Health Science in Acupuncture and Women's Health in 2009. She attended an international acupuncture training centre in Nanjing, China in 2010. Sasa then furthered her skill and knowledge by completing an advanced dry needling course for pain management and sports injuries in 2014. Sasa has a specific interest in treating conditions related to the head, neck, and shoulders.

 

Sasa is a passionate musculoskeletal physiotherapist who strongly believes in a combined approach of manual therapy and exercise prescription to assist her patients to achieve their ultimate goals so they can return to the lifestyle they enjoy.

 

Sasa is a busy mum who provides full time in-house catering for her 10 year old son who is a foodie. She loves socialising with her friends and watching movies.

Amelia has been our trusted receptionist since 2020, bringing professionalism and a warm welcome to everyone who walks through our doors. Over the years, she has successfully balanced her role with her academic pursuits, completing both her undergraduate and master’s degrees in Criminology and Criminal Justice.

 

In her downtime, Amelia is an avid netballer, showcasing her team spirit and competitive edge on the court. She also enjoys participating in quizzes, demonstrating her quick thinking and love for knowledge. With her dynamic background and vibrant personality, Amelia is an invaluable member of our team.
